Professionalism?

The other day I was talking to my friend and she said that we need to change the image on our blog and our under construction web site. She said it was and that “people wouldn’t take you seriously”, she then said she would like to see us in shirts and ties. I thought about this. do we need to appear more professional? I came to the conclusion no. If I wanted to wear a shirt and tie I would opt for a 9 to 5.
There are a thousands of other companies out there who are trying portray themselves as “professional” if we did the same how would we stand out from the crowd? Of course if u appear professional it may improve credibility but looks alone don’t count. We aim to display our credibility though testimonials ,references and the quality of our service/product . We want people to think creative, fun and exciting when they see the name flyprints. Plus it’s much more fun this way.

“…quite right, wearing a shirt and tie is inline with the typical 9 – 5 and having the courage to do not do the typical ‘bog standard spec’ takes innovativity so continue with a positive spirit”

Thanks loui, however i now think that there is a dress code for every occasion. You wouldn’t turn up to a dinner party in tracksuit. There a right time for everything. A right time to wear a suit, a right time to wear a track suit and a right time to wear a birthday suit.

Correct, but if then life would become monotonous and then who would dare ‘step out the box’?
