Here’s a spoken word piece i wrote and performed Three months ago at ADLIB. Before i performed i felt sick not literally vomiting everywhere but, just from feeling nervous lol. I had a great feeling afterwards though. This is how performers must feel all the time.I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and this is why i performed, feedback please. My cousin also performed that night he really impressed me. ADLIB is a great place to see fresh new comedy, music and poetry. The next one is on the 11th of April.
Work hard,
Work hard, even when you’re tired, ever since last year my heart’s been fired, up, and with any luck, and in gods time, we can climb to the top, mountainside.
It’s, time for us to rise and shine the world is yours as well as mine aint got to look far to be inspired. Like when I heard Nathanial peat rolled on the floor rose to his feet he made my heart believe my dreams I can achieve, My dreams I can achieve, MY DREAMS I CAN ACHIEVE. There’s no other option, because we come from asylum seekers and cleaners, bus driver’s road sweepers, nothing wrong in that, I want more than that, my money to stack. But it’s not about earning it’s about learning to be financially free, financially free from the burden of 9 to 5 I work 9 to 9 trying to make my team shine. Hence, when I’m 35 I have time to poke my nose into my daughter’s life “look you don’t need makeup your features are fine”.By Osei-Asibe Bobieh-Ansah
