Mr Adaggio: The Violinist – M.I.T.O

Mr Adaggio has released his first mixtape, M.I.T.O – Murder In The Orchestra, and for me it was the first mixtape I’ve personally downloaded performed by a violinist. I had the same reservations that you are probably having now with the thoughts of ‘Violinist‘ & ‘Mixtape‘ in your mind, but stick with it as this is something special.
Lets give you a brief background to Adaggio:
He started playing the violin when he was just 7 years old in Hackney, London where his classes were free at primary school. He was trained classically, but then crossed over to playing R&B after he felt he wanted to reflect his surroundings in music more.
Since then he has performed strings for the likes of Ms Dynamite ‘Bad Gyal’, Shystie ‘Arms Wide Open’ which was used on the film Adulthood and Estelle’s ‘Blue Skies All Day Long’ which was used on Tyler Perry’s film For Coloured Girls. Then if that wasn’t enough… he’s performed live with the likes of Macy Gray, The Game and Jennifer Hudson as well as on the main stage at Glastonbury with Estelle.
So now you’re paying a bit more attention to this Violinist and his mixtape right?? I thought so…
