Here we are people my second guest blog, this week’s track of the week has been around for a while but still carries its weight from the mysterious duo, Gnarls Barkley.
Rapper and vocalist Cee-lo Green (Thomas Callaway), has been in the hip hop scene for many years and was known for his strange lyrics and flow and amazing singing voice.
The producer Brian Burton aka Danger Mouse has produced with a vast number of hip hop artists but is most famous for his “mash-up Grey” album which mixed the vocals of Jay-z’s black album with the instrumentals from the Beetles White album.
Mix the two and you get, Gnarls Barkley.
Now when you mention Gnarls Barkley most people come out with some high pitched impression of CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY, believe it or not Gnarls Barkley released TWO yes that’s right TWO albums and not just that song.
This weeks track is called “going on” though it was released in the charts it only reached 143, set this aside listen to the music and you will discover a musical jem.
