Blackberry really….. iMessage is coming out soon
0 Tuesday October 11 2011 Written by HeroAnyone that owns a Blackberry device will know how buggy the service can be, one minuet you can be happily chatting with mates over the free messaging service BBM – the next your messages will fail to deliver or send.
Yesterday though – many Blackberry owners have noticed the absence of Emails, BBMs, Facebook, Twitter or any other form of online notification coming through – why? Blackberry’s servers are DEAD
the company that produces Blackberry, RIM, houses all of its servers in its native Canada – and there has been some massive yet to be named problem at their end. All the service providers were VERY quick to point the finger to RIM when the service stopped at around 10 this morning – however, on the week of the release of iMessage for all Apple iOS devices, Blackberry is sure to lose a few ‘contacts’. For me, owning a blackberry that can’t use any of its features completely removes the ‘smart’ part of the phone – so I’m basically rocking an old school phone that looks like a BB – its very frustrating not to be able to get your emails or tweets and makes you value how far technology has come.
I’ve received one or two BBMs since the service dropped but thats it, and my replies haven’t said – we’ll keep you update if any more news develops on the subject.
