Adlibbing on stage

I wrote this earlier within year and it depicts one of the very first orders we did.

The weekend just gone was nuts! We had finally finished our first order with Adlib and it went terrible I thought it would be easy however, someone had other plans. I and Akeam worked tirelessly but it was not to be. The things that went wrong:

  • Wrong ink – my fault
  • Wrong platton- my fault
  • Bad technique- everyone
  • Slow negotiations
  • Not enough time
  • Traffic
  • Curing – inferior equipment.

Things did right:

  • Bought right ink
  • Bought right Platon
  • Stuck to guns for prices
  • Learnt technique

Things to do better for next time:

  • Finish work a day b4
  • Ask Jilleel if we could use him flash dryer until we get our own
  • And leave lead time of at least 2 week.

Overall this was an extremely big learning curve I wouldn’t change it for the world. It’s a shame that not all the members couldn’t make it to the end. Time will tell if Dixy (Dilukx designs http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/profile.php?id=513977301&ref=ts) made the right decision.

The amount of stress we went through that weekend was nuts. I remember sitting in traffic with my phone popping off from Adlib and looking to Denzle for advise.lol he didn’t know what to say or do. I was completely stuck. I ended up give them the products for a seriously cut price. I thought the least I could do was to maintain my integrity.
